Bride and Groom - November Wedding at The Mill Barns

November Wedding

November Wedding

Nikki and Scott's festive wedding

From the first date...

We met in sixth form during our Maths A-levels, Scott was so full of himself and rude but I agreed to go to the cinema with him eventually. We got engaged in Mexico 5 years later, and married 5 years after that. We love adventure activities, our favourite was being tied together for the Canyon swing in New Zealand.

World Travellers

We had a simple travel theme at our November wedding, with places we had been together being the table names.

We wanted it to be a relaxed family affair and to be fun for everyone. In late November, the venue was decorated for Christmas, so the Christmas tree added the extra something special to our wedding day.

Winter Florals

The flowers were supplied by The Flower Shop, and were kept natural. The bridesmaids had white hydrangeas with baby's breath scattered, the buttonholes were the same.

The bridal bouquet and the buttonhole for Scott was more intricate with succulents, roses, cotton plant and wintery flowers. The flowers throughout the venue were all in-keeping with the bridal bouquet.

Exciting Entertainment

We hired Christian Fletcher for the drinks reception, everyone loved him! We are still trying to work out how he did his tricks, and guests are still commenting on how amazing he was.

We had Tim from the PianoDJ as a pianist during our wedding breakfast, everyone enjoyed trying to guess what song was being played and people said how great he was. It added a bit of entertainment during the meal.

We had a blackjack and a roulette table from Royale Casino after the wedding breakfast which people loved.

Fabulous Photography

James Capper was our photographer for the day and we could not recommend him enough. He was there ready to take photos from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to get the perfect photo. We love the photos we have received, and received the photos so quick after the wedding!

Wedding Top Tips

Don't stress about the little things, it will all come together. Just enjoy yourself. People kept telling us we were so relaxed and asking why we weren't worried about things going wrong - I think being relaxed about everything made us enjoy it all so much more. If something is going to go wrong, it will go wrong, your worrying won't help anything.

Also, definitely sneak off for a bit, just the two of you. It was great to get some 'us time' but still be able to see the guests enjoying themselves below.
