February Wedding
Charlotte and Grant's wedding at The Mill Barns
Our Story
Grant and I were set up by our mum's and their mutual friend. We have always known each other but started dating at 24. Within 2 weeks we had already started shopping for TVs and we brought our first house 9 months after we started dating. We were married at The Mill Barns on 17/02/2018, our 2 year anniversary! We had a stunning February wedding and 1 year on, we now have a 3 month old!
Elegant Styling
We wanted to keep our February wedding as traditional as possible, formal but still fun and joyful! We opted for a cool grey and silver, blended with white. We made the table plans, name tags and order of the day ourselves. We wanted to made sure decor looked elegant but still modern.
All of our flowers were white to incorporate our theme. My cousin made the bouquets using gypsophilia for the bridesmaids and white roses and eucalyptus for myself. The venue flowers were by Posies Florist who kept an elegant white theme throughout.
Music and Magic
Music played a large part in our wedding atmosphere. We opted for a string quartet for the ceremony and drinks reception as we loved that classical vibe. For the period in-between the food and the evening reception, Jacob John Askew ensured guests could let their hair down and sing along to him and his guitar - we found him on a night out in Birmingham and he was the most amazing entertainer! Finally we topped of the night with a DJ to get the party going.
We also had Christian Fletcher Magician to entertain the guests during the wedding breakfast, our guests were really impressed with him.
Incredible Photography
Samantha Jane Photography from The Mill Barns Dream Team, was our Wedding Photographer and she did an amazing job.
Neither of us are huge fans of having our photographs taken but she made us feel so calm and relaxed. She took lots of natural shots too so we felt we could really enjoy our day.
